An interesting idea in the article: Hyatt's Recommendation Briefing Form—which he makes available as a download. The form contains five major headings to help you draft and craft your best persuasive thinking:
- Recommendation
- Background
- Rationale
- Timetable
- Financial Impact
Using this form should help ensure that when you are making a big pitch, you cover all your bases, fully understand your own idea, and build a solid structure for presenting your proposed course of action. So your boss buys what you're selling. Good stuff.
